Party of Six | Atlanta Family Portraits

I was so excited to see the M family again. At our last session, we focused on portraits of their four children, each of whom is so unique, and so photogenic! Yet they share so much in common. Each is very bright, impressively polite, and very devoted to one another. Their bond is so special to witness.

I was especially glad when Mrs. M told me that she and her husband would be joining in our session this time, with the goal of creating a portrait of them as a family. Even though I know first hand how difficult it can be on that side of the camera … I know us Moms are stressed enough getting all the outfits coordinated, the haircuts precisely timed, and getting everyone dressed and groomed the day of the session, much less the thought of actually being IN the photographs … but years from now, decades from now, I also know how much the children will cherish this image of their family. What I would give to have a portrait of my own family from my childhood! The memory of love and laughter …

Much love,
Shannon

Brothers | Dunwoody Child and Family Photographer

I love this family! I had the privilege of working with them every few months through Beau’s first year, and big brother, Tyler, joined us for a few sessions. It was such a treat to see them again, both boys a year older and getting cuter by the day! Tyler was an angel for our session, so happy and cooperative. Beau was a busy little guy, but he gave me plenty of adorable smiles and just the right second. I love seeing the relationship that grows between brothers at this age. It always reminds me of my two boys in their younger years. Aside from the 100,000 mosquitoes that decided to join us this evening, it was an all around great session. (I can’t tell you how many little black spots I’ve photoshopped out of the images – there was an army of those little evil bugs trying to get these sweet boys!)

Steve and Jennifer, as always, it was a true joy to work with you to create these portraits. You are such a fun, beautiful family. I’m so glad I got the chance to see you again!!

I haven’t forgotten! | Gwinnett Newborn Photographer

I know! I know! I promised Hayden’s newborn portraits quite some time ago. And I still haven’t shared them! My beautiful baby cousin arrived in late July, and I got to see him at 10 days old for his newborn session. There are pros and cons to being a member of my family with a new baby. I’m not sure which list this would be on, but one of above is that I’ll show up at your house and shoot for hours on end, whether you want me to or not. And thus is the reason that I have not yet posted Hayden’s portraits here on the blog. I have about 75 shots still left to edit, in addition to my normal session workload. I’m working as fast as I can!

So for now, you’ll just have to settle for this teaser. Precious Hayden and his big brother, Riley. Both a miraculous gift, to our family and to each other. I know these two are going to be the best of friends. Life is beautiful!
