Childhood goes by in a blink, doesn’t it? One day, a child is born into the world: fragile, beautiful, and full of hope. The next it seems he is riding a bike, saving for his first car, starting college. Photographs are almost a way to stop time, to help our minds remember that which our heart can never forget.

Shannon’s style …
Natural. Working on location in your home or favorite scenic spot, I hope to capture your child or family as they are … genuine personalities, unposed expressions, and honest relationships. Whenever possible, I work by natural light because it can illuminate a soul like nothing else.
What should I wear?
Stay with solid colors, preferably in a light or dark shade. Avoid plaids and stripes. You want your clothing to be classic and simple. If you wish to have your baby’s portrait created without her clothing or diaper, please keep her in loose garments prior to our session so she won’t have any indentations on her skin from her clothing. For family portraits, please make sure everyone is wearing similar colors and styles. Jewelry and accessories should be minimal. No watches please!
When should I schedule?
As soon as possible! My schedule is nearly always filled at least 2 months in advance. During holiday times, I am often booked up to 4 months in advance. Please call early to reserve your session on my calendar. My last holiday session is held in early November to allow time for delivery of your order before Christmas.
Where do we hold the session?
Most often I work at my client’s home. For outdoor images, we can create the images in your yard or a local park. Please plan on an early morning or late afternoon time frame for any outdoor images. Shannon is available within a 40 mile roundtrip radius of Alpharetta, Georgia, including all northern metro Atlanta suburbs. Sessions planned outside of this radius may incur a travel surcharge.
When can I see my images?
Your image previews will be ready in approximately two weeks. I will create a private, online gallery for your session. You are welcome to share this gallery with anyone you wish. The gallery will remain available for 14 days. Your order should be submitted before the gallery expires. There is a $25 fee per week to republish the gallery after the expiration date or to extend the gallery beyond its original 14 day availability.
When will my portraits be ready?
Once you place your order, your final prints will be ready in approximately 3-4 weeks. Fine Art prints and specialty items such as jewelry and handbags may take 6-8 weeks. Holiday orders may take longer due to high volume.
Can I order more portraits from my session in the future?
Of course! All of the images from your session will be available for 60 days. After that period, all images not purchased will be purged. I will keep your purchased images on file for 12 months. Reorders are subject to a $100 minimum and are charged at the current prices in effect.
Are the digital files or negatives available for purchase?
Yes. Full-resolution files may be purchased for $200 per single image. Contact us for details on our Digital Portrait Collections.
