I admit, I cried on my way to this session. I was thinking about this blog post. I was thinking back on what this precious mommy-to-be has meant to me and to my family. I was trying to decide what to write on this post, how to sum up what she has done for our family and what her support and friendship has meant to us. But I just can’t put it into words. The words fall short. Even now, my eyes fill with tears.
I cannot do justice to her story either. The journey she and her husband have traveled to this point, to awaiting the arrival of their baby girl, is also beyond words. It has been a journey of many years and a great deal of heartache. And to see the joy in their eyes now, to see the love they have for their baby girl as they await her birth … oh, more tears! Blessed tears!
Cherice and Kevin, it has been such an honor to capture this time for you. Thank you for being who you are, for the light and love you share with everyone you meet. Thank you for your cherished friendship and for the way you have loved my children. You are one of our greatest blessings.
