Welcome, Maggie | Alpharetta Newborn Photographer

“Every child born into the world is a new thought of God, an ever fresh and radiant possibility.” – Kate Douglas Wiggin

Another beautiful new life! Precious Maggie arrived just a few weeks ago, such a cherished gift right from the start. Her daddy has a passion for music, hence the posing with the microphone. I love the little look on her face!

I never grow tired of photographing newborns. Every single one is magical. Ah, how I love my job!

Much love,
Shannon

Something new … | Atlanta Engagement Portraits

Those who know me know that I am passionate about my work as a children’s photographer. I love having a career that lets me play with sweet babies and adorable kids day after day. But every now and then, it certainly is fun to stretch my creative wings and point my camera at something new, especially when it’s two people I care very much about.

My cousin, Chris, has found the love of his life. And she is such a sweetheart. We all adore her and can’t wait to welcome her officially into our family. So I was thrilled, of course, when Chris and Samantha asked me if I would create some engagement portraits for them. They are both such naturals for the camera. They made my job so easy!

Much love,
Shannon

Straight from Heaven … | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

She is here! I can hardly look at that sweet face without tears of joy welling in my eyes. I love her momma so, and my children and I have sent up so many prayers to Heaven for this little girl. She is truly a miracle in every way, and what a blessing she will be to so many in her life. She already is! It was wonderful enough just meeting Sophia Grace for the first time to create her portraits, but to see her Mommy and Daddy experiencing their dream come true … there are no words.

The first image reminded me immediately of one of my favorite quotations … “Babies smile in their sleep because they can still see Heaven there.” After I captured that image, I just sat and watched Sophia sleep for a moment, imagining the sweet songs her angels were singing to her.

My daughter is sitting and staring at Sophia’s portraits even now as I type, asking me when she can hold her. Alas, patience is not her strong suit. She has even asked excitedly when she can babysit. So Cherice and Kevin, get ready for a date night in about 8 years! You have a sitter all lined up. :)

Welcome to the world, Sophia Grace. It has been waiting for you.

Much love,
Shannon
