Our warm weather in Atlanta recently has let me live in denial that summer is over. My family and I truly had our best summer ever. I soaked up and cherished every single second I could with my husband and children. And while they were excited to return to school and see their friends, we were all sad to see our lazy, happy months together come to an end.

One thing I have not been able to deny is that the holiday portrait season has begun. The months of September and October are to a portrait photographer what March and April are to an accountant. It’s our busy season, to say the least. It’s a lot of long days shooting and a lot of long nights editing, but thankfully it’s wonderfully fun as well. I love meeting new families each year, and seeing my favorite clients again for their annual sessions.

I am both excited and sad to share that my schedule for the remainder of 2011 is now full. I’m thrilled because it is shaping up to be my best Fall yet and I’m really looking forward to some of the great sessions I have on the books. But I’m sad because I’m still getting inquiries each day and I just hate turning people away. But alas, I must know my boundaries so that I can still serve my clients well, and not leave my family under a mountain of laundry, eating pizza every night.

I will be keeping a waiting list this year, so please feel free to contact me if you’d like to be on the list. Please also join my business page on Facebook, where I will be posting if I have any openings become available. Thank you so much for your enthusiasm for my art. My job as a photographer is a lifelong dream come true, and I owe my sweet clients all the thanks.

Blessings,
Shannon
