I have been photographing Robert and his siblings for several years now, creating their annual family portraits. This time he got to be the star of the day. Robert is making his debut in the modeling world, so it was time to capture some images for his portfolio. He is an incredibly photogenic child, without a doubt. The curls, the eyes, the charming smile … irresistible! Robert, I look forward to seeing where your career takes you!

It’s always so wonderful to spend a day with the B family! If you’ve read my blog a while, you’ve heard me gush about this family before. They are just the kind of warm, genuine people that make me love my job, and make me forget that it’s work! I’ve been blessed to see darling Ella grow up in front of my camera, and now sweet baby brother William has come along.

I love spending time with this handsome young man and his mommy. He’s full of energy, spunk, and charm. And just look at how he loves his momma! The image of them together captures everything I love about a mommy and her son. A boy holds his mother’s heart like no one else, and the same is so true on the other side.

I think I have had more newborn sessions this past year than I have in all my years in business, which has been so much fun for me! I wish I had known that newborn portraiture existed when my first child was born. Every session I photograph reminds me of my own children in their first weeks, and every one makes me long to go back to those days, sleep deprivation and all. Those tiny miraculous toes and fingers and sleepy peaceful smiles become a memory so very quickly. Precious Emery and her big sister Chloe were on the other side of my camera just before Christmas last year! I had them in my blog queue to share just before I hit my long blog hiatus, so I wanted to be sure to share them right away now that I’m catching up. Such beautiful girls!
