Amber continues to be one of my favorite children to photograph. Each year, Amber and her mom bring so much creativity to our session, in their clothing choices, their energy and cheerful spirit, and the freedom they offer to me to capture the session as my eye leads. Amber is one of the sweetest little girls I’ve ever worked with, so very polite and gentle. You can see she is so natural for the camera. Ah, I love my job!

Love really does radiate from this family, doesn’t it? And without a doubt, they are a beautiful family, but the joy and love between them just makes them radiant. I think photographing children will forever be my passion, but I am always thrilled when Mom and Dad are willing to pose for a few shots together. I completely believe that the best gift we can give our children is a strong marriage. Having portraits of a Mom and Dad – first and foremost, a husband and wife, happy, devoted, in love – around the house echoes that message to the kids who love them. Wouldn’t you cherish a photograph of your own parents dancing and laughing to remember your childhood by?

This was a delightful session experience for me! First of all, Emma’s parents are so instantly likable. Not only were they very understanding when I had to reschedule our session because my daughter was sick, but they were so warm and welcoming when we did meet at their home for Emma’s portraits. And isn’t she a doll? I loved the tutu Mommy picked out for her, and those big sparkling eyes! Can you tell I have baby fever these days?

Sam, what a cutie you are! I got to meet Sam right around his first birthday. He is a beautiful, sweet boy. I loved the curls, the big blue eyes, and that darling smile. We held his session in his grandmother’s backyard, which was one of the most beautiful gardens I’ve seen. It was the perfect setting for his one-year portraits!
