And there we go … another summer come and gone, another busy Fall season beginning! This summer has been one of amazing change for my family. In May, we said goodbye to our home, one our family had enjoyed together for 10 years, and the same home in which I spent my own childhood! Bittersweet barely describes what it was like to leave, but it was time. When we first began considering a move, we prayed for God to show us if this move was his will for us by selling our home. He answered loud and clear by selling it at full asking price BEFORE we ever put it on the market! My apologies go out to those of you who have to endure the home selling process. I certainly do sympathize, and I was dreading it with every fiber of my being. You can imagine my awe and relief when we never had to go through it after all!
And then, the story was complete as we discovered our new home in Roswell. We have been here almost 4 months now, and I still can’t believe how blessed we are. I never imagined I could love another home as I did my childhood home, being the hugely sentimental person that I am. Yet everyday, I walk through these rooms, sip coffee on my deck overlooking a lovely yard (for which I take no credit … the former owners were avid gardeners!), chat with our incredible neighbors … and I just say to myself over and over, “I’m so happy here. Thank you, Lord. We are so happy here.” And the icing on the cake is the 7 minute drive I now have to my children’s school. I used to drive an hour round trip 2-3 times per day!
So, yet another excuse for my neglected blog. This time it was three months of painting, unpacking, donating (“why did we even pack this in the first place?”), and organizing. Oh, and I even broke my right wrist in the move!
Now Fall is here, and my busy season is ramping up. It promises to be another great one, and I am ever thankful for my amazing clients who entrust me with your memories year after year. If you haven’t already contacted me to schedule your session, please do so as soon as possible! All but one weekend session are now full for the remainder of 2013. I have a handful of weekday evening sessions open, and several weekday mornings. I’m even offering a special option for weekday mornings in September, so contact me for details!
I hope your Fall is full of smiles, color, and happiness.
