Bemba 101

Wed, July 14  1:49 p.m. Zambia

This morning we went back to Sinia Center. Christy, Brad, and Wendy got to see the ladies’ Skills Training Program in person, while Leasa and I came back to the lodge with another group of ladies for more cleaning practice. Janet took the teachers of Sinia on a shopping trip for school supplies and other needs. During this time, Kevin, Zach and J.P. visited the kids at Mapalo Center to learn more of the language. So here is your first lesson in Bemba. Study hard, my friends. There will be a quiz later.

Some of our team are not feeling well. It is nothing serious, just sinus colds and upset stomachs, so please don’t worry about any of us. (Margaret, if you are reading, your son is perfectly fine; not sick at all!:)) We would appreciate your prayers for good health.  This afternoon we are attending a soccer match between Sinia and Mapalo school. It should be a blast.

Margaret Ramsey - Thank you for the note about Zach! I have read every word of your blog. Your blog is a blessing to read. It is like we are in Africa experiencing it with you.
Praying for the team,
Margaret

John Ramsey - Shannon thank you so much for keeping us up to date with the Wiphan Team. I know that you took a lot of time and effort to do this, and it was a real blessing and encouragement. I was always eager to hear about my grandson Zach, and I’m looking forward to hearing all of his stories
