It’s never too late to make a resolution, right? I actually wrote this back in late December, and then got swept into the stream of 2010 as it began and never posted it. I just stumbled on it again today. It offered me some good reminders of resolutions I’ve already let slide. I’ve got 11 months to get back on track. I’m posting this today so I can easily return to it throughout the year. We all need those reminders to stay on track.
What are some of your 2010 resolutions? How’s it going so far?

In 2010, I resolve …
… to be a Mom more. To take more snapshots of my kids without worrying about the angle of the light, the depth of field, the wrinkles on their shirts or the food on their faces.
… to get said snapshots, and the portraits, OFF my computer and IN albums. Even without time for pretty, creative scrapbooks and carefully designed coffee table albums, I will have a tangible record of my children’s childhood that they can enjoy when they are 35.
… “whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—[to] think about such things.” -Philippians 4:8
… to read more and Facebook less.
… to exercise more and sleep better.
… to run a 5K. See resolution above.
… to remind myself daily of my priorities: God, my husband, my children, my family and friends, my work … in that order.
… to never miss a chance to hug my husband and my children, and to never miss a opportunity to praise them.
… to plant more flowers, and take the time to smell them, and maybe make a photograph or two.
… to read the Bible. All of it.
… to cherish silence and stillness for the opportunity it is. Opportunity for thought, for rest, for dreams, for awareness.
