Eden & Dalia | Sandy Springs Family Photographer

More favorite clients! This family holds a special place in my heart because they were one of my very first Milestones clients. Their daughter, Eden, was just a few weeks old the first time I met them. I was lucky to work with them throughout Eden’s first year, and then again when Dalia became a Milestones baby, and every year since. Seeing them again each year is truly like reuniting with old, dear friends. As I fully expected they would, the girls are growing into absolutely stunning young ladies.

I’m excited to now be sharing clients’ names on the blog, with their permission of course, because I think you can really see how a person’s name suits them in a portrait. Eden is beautiful, vibrant, passionate, breathtaking, and sweet. Dalia is strong, striking, colorful, joyful, and yet delicate. I love the unique names Alan and Devorah have chosen for their daughters. In fact, Eden was a name I’d always “saved” for my daughter one day, until I married a Holden. Eden Holden just didn’t work … too many N’s.

Alan and Devorah, thank you for the opportunity to be your family’s photographer over the years. You are one of the reasons I am where I am today in my career, and a big reason why I love my job so much. I hope I might even get to photograph the girls’ Senior Portraits one day. :)

I adore these two | Roswell Baby and Child Photographer

Layla and Samantha’s parents are long time clients of mine. I first met this family when Layla was just a few months old. We got to know each other through several sessions in her first year, and then they learned that beautiful Samantha was on the way! We just finished the second session of Samantha’s Milestones collection. Their big brother was at school the day we met, so we got the opportunity to focus on just the sisters. What a great bond they are going to have growing up! Sam was all smiles for me that day. She has a bubbly, social personality which is just precious. Layla was a little shy at first, but she saw how much fun Sam and I were having together and she happily joined in. She is full of bright energy and laughter. I think you’ll agree that both girls have the most amazing eyes!

Samantha, you will be a year old when I see you next! Oh, they grow up much too fast!

Catching Up | Atlanta Child & Baby Photographer

Two weeks since my last blog post. Shame on me! Life has been a little nutty in our household. I had some minor surgery, and 6 days later my husband had a less minor surgery. Then I got hit with the Sinus Cold from You Know Where. And a weekend trip to visit our new niece (images to come soon!), and school kicking into gear (I’m Room Mom again!), and double my normal session load through all of that. Oh yeah, and I somehow got sucked into the Twilight books and lost many an hour of sleep because I couldn’t put those books down! I read the whole series in two weeks!

Now it’s time to catch up and share some of the fantastic sessions I’ve had lately. I’ve met some adorable kiddos and delightful families. Even when life feels chaotic, I still love my job so much. What a blessing!

Meet Ava and Chloe. These sweet sisters live in the Washington, DC area, and their parents are good friends with my cousin’s family. After learning about me through my cousin, they contacted me to book a session on a recent visit to Atlanta. What a treat to meet them! And thank goodness, we had awesome weather on the day of our session, because rescheduling would have been very difficult. Beautiful Ava is so natural in front of the camera, and she is such a loving big sister. She really looked out for Chloe while we were shooting. Darling Chloe was also a doll. She was curious and a little shy at first (I believe a little stranger anxiety is always healthy for a young one), but we got some great giggles out of her soon enough. She also loved the ducks at the park.

Jay and Susan, Ava and Chloe, thank you for taking some time during your visit to play at the park with me. I loved meeting all of you, and I hope we’ll see you again next time we are in DC!
