The mother of this darling baby girl called me at precisely the right time. Her baby had just been born, and as luck would have it, I’d had a portrait session opening come up just a few days later. I got the chance to meet Miss M on her 7th day of life. She was so calm, so serene. Her older sister was such a great helper, and I could see how much heart and pride she put into her role as the big sister.
She took a little while to agree to our suggestion of a snooze, but she finally dozed off soundly, and she slept like an angel as we captured each photograph. I just loved her dark hair and eye lashes, and those delicate little fingers.
Welcome to the world, baby girl. It was a delight to meet you! It was an honor to be your first photographer.

Bray - My name is Bray. I am Emery’s husband. I am so pleased with the pictures so far and I can not wait to see the rest. Emery is about to explode because our power is out at home and she can not see them. I did not realize I had such a cute baby-joke.
Michele - Hey Shannon! I haven’t been by your blog in awhile, but stopped by today and wow! Love these images of this sweet baby! That 5th one is just perfect. (Plus I am having serious basket envy…) Very nice!
Claire - the eyes on this little girl are gorgeous. i love the upclose shot of her face. I’ve been following you for a while- you do wonderful work. tagged you today in my blog about happy, (un)important things, because you do an amazing job capturing both important and unimportant moments. http://beaktweets.blogspot.com/2009/04/unimportant-things.html
