Another precious new life! {Atlanta Newborn Photography}

Such a sweetheart, this little guy was! First of all, as a portrait photographer, I was instantly captivated by the light in this client’s home. They live in one of those fantastic historic areas of Atlanta where the homes have such grace and character, and in their home in particular – huge windows! Ah, a natural light photographer’s dream! And my tiny subject for the day was just as wonderful. This sweet boy slept so peacefully for us, and even gave me the most perfect little smile at just the right second. I enjoyed editing this session almost as much as I enjoyed shooting it. It was hard to choose my favorites for the blog. Thank you for being such a perfect subject, J!

The photography below is definitely my favorite image from the session. Such peaceful innocence, such delicate light. This is the kind of moment that brings tears to my eyes as a mother. Best Newborn PhotographerTop Atlanta Baby PhotographerMidtown Baby Photographer

Wee Ones {Woodstock Newborn Photographer}

My goodness, what a week it has been! I am upset with myself that I let so much time pass without updating the blog. Some precious new clients arrived into the world in the last two weeks, a couple of them earlier than expected, so I doubled up my session schedule to meet and photograph all of them while they were still nice and tiny. And thus, I have been pouring myself into editing since, and neglecting the blog. And then I had a nice little computer crash and well … never a dull moment, right?

So, I think my computer might be close to normal again and I’m so anxious to get caught up and share all these beautiful babies with you!

First up is beautiful young lady whose family was referred to me by a dear friend and fellow photographer who recently moved out of town (thank you, Jeannine!) and it was a honor to capture their newborn baby’s first portraits. She was an angel! I love newborns so much anyway, and this little girl was one of the calmest, sweetest, and darlingest (is that a word?) infants I’ve met. She was wide awake for the first part of our session, and she just hung out in the basket or on the bean bag and looked around the room, out the window, or up at me. She barely wiggled or cried the whole time I was there. Then she dozed off peacefully while we finished creating her portraits.

I just adore baby feet. I love the way newborns curl up their legs, and I even love the little flakes of skin that show just how fresh and new she is. Atlanta Baby Portraits

Eight Months Old {Cumming Baby Photographer}

How he’s grown since I saw him last! This little guy is such a sweetheart, a genetic trait in this family I think. :) His big sister adores him, and I can tell she takes very good care of her baby brother. J’s mom also has such a knack for finding adorable clothes for the kids. It was freezing outside the day of our session, so with the family’s permission, I scoped out a new spot in the house for some variety and great light. Their guest bedroom was absolutely perfect! I would give anything for this kind of light in my house! We might just have to rearrange the guest room for our next session, so we can get a new “setting” with that perfectly ideal window.

See you in a few months, Mr. J, as you celebrate your first birthday! Doesn’t the first year go by in a blink?!
