Another Perfect Miracle | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

I have been so elated to meet all these beautiful new babies lately. I am reminded of the miracle of life with each and every one of them. Those incredible little fingernails, the whisper-like eyelashes, each and every one unique and exqusitely designed. And every detail perfectly planned. I am so blessed to see them through my camera. I love my job!

This little miracle is the spitting image of her big brother and sister. I’ve mentioned before how much I adore this family. Our newborn session was just as wonderful as our previous sessions. I was especially honored this time, because this baby girl’s Daddy hired me as a surprise for his wife. Isn’t that the sweetest thing? And it was a gift for me as well to be chosen for their daughter’s first photographer. Thank you, H Family. It was an honor.

On another note, stop by my online store if you haven’t in a while. I’ve just added the new Digital Collections for 2009, and I’ll have some new albums to share here on the blog soon! And if you are considering a Spring Portrait session, call me soon! I am now accepting reservations for late March, April, and May. April is almost full!

Happy Valentine’s Day

I hope your life is full of true love today.

If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part; but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away. When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.

But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.

I just couldn’t wait!

I just got in from a fantastic session. This spectacular weather we’ve been having in Atlanta has sparked a serious case of Spring Fever in me, so I was very excited to get to shoot outdoors today. And then to see the beautiful parents to be who were my subjects, and also their precious furry children who came along … it was a photographer’s dream today!

So, I just couldn’t wait to get home to see these shots. I think you can see why! Here’s just one … I must show restraint. I have three other sessions to edit before this one. But I couldn’t help but share this sneak peek. Atlanta Maternity Photographer

Thank you, Coco and Kayla, for being such perfect little subjects today! Please tell your Mommy and Daddy that I had a wonderful time photographing your family! I can’t wait to see what you think of your baby brother in a few weeks. Belly rubs to all of you!

Facebook

I’m here to publicly admit that I am completely addicted to Facebook. I have so little free time in my life, so Facebook actually fits quite well … I can check in for 30 seconds here, 7205 seconds there, on my notebook while I’m watching “Heroes”, or on my iPhone while sitting in the carpool line at school. I’ve reconnected with long lost but fondly remembered friends from my high school and college days, and I’ve learned new, fun tidbits about the friends in my life today. I even have many clients on my Friends list, and I love that Facebook offers us a new way to get to know each other better.

Are you addicted like me? Let me know! You can even find Shannon Holden Photography on Facebook! I’d be tickled pink to see the SHP fan list grow!

P.S. I’m 29 hours into my Twitter addiction as well. :)
