“When I grow up … | Virginia Highlands Photography

… I want to be a little boy.”

Meet Mr. E. What a cutie! He is all boy, devoted to his trucks and cars. He was excited to show me all his treasured vehicles, and even showed me how he can pull the wheels off! :) This family has a beautiful home in Virginia Highlands, with ideal light throughout and a gorgeous front porch where we spent most of our session together. The challenge of the session is that E was full of energy, moving a mile a minute at times. But hey, that’s what being a little boy is all about, right? And it’s my job to let him be just who he is meant to be. I loved seeing E’s spunk and spirit. He is darling.

Sunrise moment | Roswell Family Portraits

I just couldn’t wait to post this one. This was taken yesterday morning, and I raced home to see it big on my computer screen. We began the session at 7:45 a.m. in Roswell, as the sun was still coming up. I first had the baby sitting in the grass when I saw the sun above her shoulder and the lens flare and the rim light on her blond hair. I asked Mommy and Daddy to jump in the photograph with her and voila!

Don’t worry, I’ll post a more in depth sneak peek for you, D Family! This is just your sneak peek of the sneak peek!

Windows to the soul | Children’s Photography in Atlanta, GA

Recently I had the privilege to meet the M family’s four gorgeous children. Our primary goal of the session was to create a wall portrait of their second daughter, now age 3, in keeping with family tradition. They have large wall portraits of their older two children at the same age. Now it was this lovely young lady’s turn. (She is the first child you see pictured here.)

Her siblings joined us for her session, so I could create a few images of each of them, and (if we got lucky), a portrait of the four of them together. These children were impressively well behaved, and I really enjoyed meeting all four. What struck me was how unique they each were, in personality and in features. But one thing they each shared were these incredible eyes. With an international heritage, their eyes were positively mesmerizing. And those lashes! Wow!

I think you will agree with me … you can see so much depth in their eyes, so much innocence yet so much wisdom. What luminous souls we can glimpse through those eyes!

This image cracked me up … just leaning on Baby Brother. :)

Just try not to smile! | Atlanta Children’s Photography

I bet you are smiling right now! How could you not smile at a face like that?

This little girl is positively radiant. She gets her beauty from her parents, no doubt. Though her daddy could not join us for this session, you can see the gorgeous genes her mommy passed down to her. And I count myself blessed because I have clients like her who are not only incredibly photogenic, but just simply nice and wonderful to work with.

I just learned, sadly, that this family is moving away from me, as life is taking them back to North Carolina. I’ve been pretty bummed about that. It made my day at our session when Miss B’s mom told me that they hoped to come back to Atlanta for a visit and plan future sessions with me at those times. I will be thrilled to see this darling girl grow into a young lady. I know that radiance will last her lifetime. She is destined to be beautiful from the inside out!

Happy Birthday, Miss B! Keep smiling, sweet girl!

Kisses for Mommy!

These three images just begged to be together in a storyboard! The giggle of a little girl. Is there anything more joyful?
