Almost Finished!

I’m so excited to share that my new website is almost finished! I’m still choosing images, rearranging pages, and spell-checking my content. I’ve stayed up late several nights this week just trying to get it finished outside of my normal work hours which I devote to shooting and editing for clients. I hope to announce the official debut in the next week!

Here is a little preview … I can’t wait to share it with everyone!

Family Time

I love seeing the bond within a family. I love watching how they interact, what special little look, smile or action from Mom and Dad makes the children light up.

The C family was a joy to meet. Both of their children have such a great inner spirit, and the love that flowed throughout their home was so genuine and radiant. Mom and Dad were incredibly welcoming and warm. Thank you both for making me feel right at home.

Baby Sister was so sweet, cuddling up to Mommy and playing with her hair. She even let me hold her for a few minutes. She has a gentle soul and a beautiful sparkle about her. And those darling curls! Big Brother was all boy – busy, energetic and adorable. He was excited to show off his helicopter and trains. One of my favorite shots from the session just happened by chance (posted below). Dad just sat down with his son to read while Mom and I finished up the session details. A simple childhood moment that echoes a lifelong bond between father and son.

Don’t Forget

There are 10 days left in which to contribute to Mardi’s 3 Day Breast Cancer Walk team by purchasing one of the special products I’ve designated. This is such an incredible cause, and I’m very thankful to those of you who have contributed so far. The Artist’s Hope canvas has gotten the most buzz! I have the Simplicity Collage of Erica hanging in my hallway, and everyone who walks by stops to comment on it.

No idea what I’m talking about? Please read my original blog post here.

Visit my online store to place your order. www.shannonholden.com/shop . Look for the “Specialty Items” link. You will find a specific category labeled Breast Cancer Walk.

Pre-purchases are welcome. Several people with sessions planned for October and November have inquired about pre-purchasing one of these special items, so they may contribute to the fundraiser, and choose a favorite image from a later session. That’s great! As long as your session is already scheduled to be held before the end of this year, I am happy to honor a pre-purchase for this purpose. Just place your order through the online store and send me a note that you plan to choose your image later.

Twenty Toes – the Sequel

Recognize these two? Well, maybe not. I hardly recognized them myself!! They have grown so much! I first met these two cuties when they were just born, fresh home from the hospital. I posted about them on my blog here back in January.

So tiny then, and so big now! It was such a treat to see their little personalities, each so unique. I’ve just found myself smiling as I’ve edited this session so far – those cute little grins, and those tiny teeth peeking out.

I know you guys will just grow more handsome each day. I can’t wait to see you again!
