I wanted to take a moment to share another of my recent newborn clients. This is Baby J. He arrived just a little bit earlier than expected. When I got to meet him, he was just 9 days old. I see a lot of babies in my work, and this little guy just won my heart. I marveled at his tiny hands and feet, and I loved all his beautiful silky hair! It helps, too, that his parents were so much fun to spend time with. J was very alert during our session. We tried to coax him to sleep but he had other plans. I’m sure he is excited about this wonderful new world he will soon explore! He dozed off a little at the end of our time together, so I was able to capture a few sleepy images.

To Mommy and Daddy of Baby J, thank you. It has been a true pleasure to meet both of you, both during your last month of pregnancy and after. Your little boy has chosen two wonderful parents. Hugs and kisses, J!

In the month of April, I had three clients expecting babies. When I reserve a newborn session, I plan a tentative schedule based on the baby’s due date. Since we never know when our little bundles will arrive, I ask the parents to call me when they leave the hospital so that we can reschedule their session to happen within the baby’s first ten days if possible.

My April expectant clients had due dates of April 1, April 14, and April 24. Well, all three of you must have sat under the same full moon, because all the babies were born within hours of each other! It was a busy but delightful week for me, getting to meet all of these precious tiny babies one after another.

Here is baby H. He was very sleepy for our session, which is just perfect! He didn’t mind a bit as I posed him over and over, and crawled around him snapping shot after shot. He was so peaceful.

The bad news now for his parents is that they have too many images to choose from! I always try to limit the images shown to less than 30. Clients have told me many times that more than 30 makes the portrait choices just too overwhelming. Well, to Baby H’s parents, I’m sorry! You will just have to be overwhelmed with choices because I simply can’t narrow these down!

Just look at these two! Just last week, it was my pleasure to meet this delightful family and these two darling baby girls. I love working with twins. I love seeing the way two sisters can come into the world together and yet turn out to be so beautifully unique! These little ones are six months old. They each have their own perfect spirit and playfulness just starting to bloom.

Baby Girls, I can’t wait to see you two again soon!
